4) Film worksheets. These are major grades. Do not earn
zeros!!! Start Romeo and Juliet today - Introduction activities. Turn in TKM books.
Thursday: 4/9/09: Start reading Act I of " Romeo and Juliet" today.
Start defining Act I Vocabulary. Quiz over the meanings of the vocab words at the end of Act I. Quiz over the events in Act I.
Friday 4/10/09: Continue reading "Romeo and Juliet" Act I - work on meanings of Vocab words.
Sophomore English: Monday 4/6/09 and Tuesday 4/7/09: Work in computer lab on Mark Twain webquests.
Weds. 4/8/09: Turn in Mark Twain webquest - This is a major grade! Do not earn a zero!!! Silently read the novel and work on 2 study guide packets - Due Friday.
Thursday and Friday 4/9/ and 4/10/09: Watch Huck Finn movie. Friday - must finish reading Huck Finn and complete 2 study guides - turn them in. We have a major test over Huck Finn next week.
Freshmen Reading Class: Monday 4/6-Thursday 4/8/09: Orally read Freedom Writer's Diary and write a summary on 2 diary entries each day. These are graded daily.
Friday - Discussion day and movie day.

BY FRIDAY 4/10/09: You must finish reading Huckleberry Finn and complete the study guide. There will be a test the following week. If you are having trouble reading the book, you may listen to it in any audio format that you like. One that is helpful is linked below. It helps to follow along while you read the book.

Read "The Talk" page 380 in your lit books and make a T-Chart comparing it to Cosby's "Go Deep to the Sewer" page 368 childhood remembrance story.

Friday 2/13/09: Vocab test 3.4. Bring To Kill a Mockingbird and read it after the test.
Freshmen Reading: Finish reading Snowbound. Go to the computer lab and print out 10 articles about Survivors in snowstorms. Highlight all the descriptive information about the story. Turn your higlighted information into a 1 page typed description of each story. That will be 10 pages total.

as seen in Emerson and Thoreau's work and in the film and music Video I shared with the class last Thursday. Essay must be typed and at least 5 paragraphs with a minimum of 200 words. Due Tuesday 1/27/09.
